STEAM Summer Camp 2023
Campers 3-5 years of age will enjoy over two hours of building, collaboration games, STEAM skills, imaginative play, role-playing, and problem solving, for up to two days per week for two months.

STEAM Summer Camp Details
Build My Community
Campers will learn the importance of different parts of the community as they build Rainbow Town. Campers will measure height and distance, learn about street signs and directions, and create a mural together.
Health Care Workers
Campers will learn what health care workers do and how to take good care of their teeth and mouth and build a dentist’s office. Campers will work on counting as well as comparing and contrasting, and paint a tooth sparkly white. This same week, Camp Gymbo will be focusing on healthy hearts and minds. We are working on having the Tooth Fairy visit this week!
Traveling Around
Campers will learn how different types of vehicles are used and will build their favorite one for their LEGO friends. Campers will work on number sense, shape recognition, and spatial concepts, paint with toy cars.
Outdoor Activities
Campers will learn to identify different outdoor activities and the rules that surround certain playground and outdoor games. Children will then build their favorite outdoor activities and share the rules. Campers will also work on spatial sense as well as numbers and symbols, and create a sculpture.
A Helping Hand
Campers will learn the importance of helping the people around them and understand how to help people. Campers will design a scenario showing people being aided. Campers will work on problem solving, observational skills, and spatial sense. They’ll take home their handprints with a message on how they help others.
A Unique Landmark
Campers will learn the importance of different landmarks, and what a landmark is. Campers will then build a landmark for their towns. Campers will work on measuring, ordering, and comparing, and use upcycled materials to create a sculpture.
A Mini Market
Campers will learn the basic concepts of economics and how to perform basic calculations. Campers will build an item they would like to sell. Campers will work on patterns, parts and wholes, and subtraction. Children will decorate their own shopping bag to take to the market.
Trash Recycling
Campers will collaborate as a team to create a model that solves a simple task. Campers will work in pairs to create a trash can that is easy for LEGOⓇ DUPLOⓇ figures to use. Campers will work on classification, sorting, as well as comparing and contrasting. Campers will upcycle materials to create a collage.

Campers will learn about themselves, and each other, to build relationships and knowledge of their bodies and minds.
The Arts
Visual, audio, and physical arts all provide ways for campers to express their creativity.
Dinosaur Stomp
Children love dinosaurs - digging for them, naming them, pretending to be them.
Around the World in 3 Days

Let's Celebrate...
Holidays, birthdays, life, there's always a reason to celebrate!
What A Character!
Campers will explore a variety of characters from books, video games, movies, and television shows.
3, 2, 1, Blast Off!
Campers will become little astronauts exploring outer space.
Creatures Great and Small
Campers will creep, crawl, jump, "fly," and "swim" as they pretend to be different animals. Teddy Bear Mobile will be on site Friday for children to create a new friend!
Goody, Goody School Days
Campers will be prepared for the first day of school, whether entering preschool or 3rd grade.
Trained Gymboree Play & Music of Southlake instructors will engage your children not only in our themed activities, but also school-based lessons, including:
--Letters of the day, where we focus on letters of the alphabet and writing sentences that include these letters.
--Math problems of the day, where each age group has specific math problems that they are tasked to complete together.
--Science project of the day, where the teachers guide the students through science experiments.
--Events of the day, where teachers explain and go over important events in world and U.S. history.

Campers 3-8 years of age will enjoy time playing in the dirt with flowers and worms, take home a plant they watch grow, and play on our proprietary playscapes.
This is a great way to try us out before summer camps begin!

Precare 9:00am-9:30am $10/child
Aftercare 11:30am-5:00pm $30/child/hour
Aftercare includes child participation in our regularly scheduled classes. They must bring their own lunch.
All campers must be able to use the bathroom independently.
